Gabriel Bell-Gam (Research Coordinator)

Gabriel Bell-GamGabriel Bell-Gam is a cultural heritage practitioner and research coordinator whose work focuses on digital preservation, archival systems, and community-based heritage initiatives across Africa and Canada. With over six years of experience supporting institutional collections and research infrastructure, he specializes in metadata standards, digital asset governance, and grant-aligned research coordination. He is currently completing a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies (Curatorial Practices) at the University of Winnipeg.


Angela McGillivray (past Administrative Coordinator)

Angela McGillivrayAngela McGillivray completed an MA in Cultural Studies at the University of Winnipeg, where she now works as the Administrative Coordinator for the departments of Women’s and Gender Studies, Classics, and Philosophy, the Disability Studies Program. She also works on the International Fairy-Tale Filmography doing data entry and quality control. Her current research focuses on feminist parenting and gender, and intersections of food, sexuality, and gender in the television series Supernatural.


Jordyn Sheldon (past Research Coordinator)

Jordyn SheldonJordyn Sheldon joined the Centre for Research in Cultural Studies as the Research Coordinator with experience in project coordination, research development and facilitation. She holds an MA in Cultural Studies and Critical Theory from McMaster University. Her research interests include critical pedagogy, abolition feminism, health humanities, settler colonial studies and transformative justice. Jordyn continues to teach approaches to social change, harm reduction and transformative justice in community, at non-profits, museums and at the University of Winnipeg.


Dr. Sabrina Mark (past Research Coordinator)

Sabrina Mark

Dr. Sabrina Mark came to this position with experience in research development, coordination and scholarly communications. She obtained her PhD from the Department of English, Theatre, Film & Media at the University of Manitoba. Her own research interests include the depiction of gender roles in early twentieth century popular girls' novels, especially in connection to nationhood and dress. She recently published a book chapter entitled “Picturing Anne’s Puffed-Sleeve Dress: Colour, Belonging, and Wish Fulfilment in Anne of Green Gables.” 


Lauren Bosc (past Research Coordinator)

Lauren Bosc supported the development of CRiCS and was the Centre’s first Research Coordinator, working with Dr. Angela Failler from 2015-2021. She holds an MA in Cultural Studies from the University of Winnipeg, and during her studies her research interests focused on representations of the fat body within pop culture and television. She currently holds the position of Director, Research Services, with the University of Winnipeg and has worked in the institution’s Research Office since 2021.
